elCORD-A electrical extension cords/adapters
elCORD-A adapters supplement standard electrical extension cords with cables that go beyond the scope of sockets and plugs or have a function other than just extension.
IP44 or IP67 protection level – the adapters are suitable for use both inside and outside buildings, in various weather conditions, taking into account appropriate connection and termination protection.
Security
Adapters are manufactured and tested in accordance with all requirements of applicable standards and directives:
(ACS) IEC 61439-4:2013
IEC 60309-1:2022-11
IEC 60364-7-704: 2018-08
IEC 50525-2-21:2011
Low voltage electrical products (LVD) 2014/35/UE,
RoHS 2011/65/EU.
They are subject to measurements as for electrical switchboards, exceeding the requirements for extension cords: circuit continuity, phase sequence and dielectric properties, in accordance with the above standards.
Documentation
Test results are recorded and remain available based on the serial number. Each extension cord is delivered with a measurement protocol and a CE declaration of conformity.

For the production of electric adapters, we use high-quality H07RN-F (OnPD) rubber cables with 1, 3, 4 or 5 wires, with cross-sections ranging from 1,5 to 240 mm2. For applications with special requirements, we use H07BQ-F polyurethane cables.
Adapters are available in any length up to 50m, and also special versions over 50m upon customer request.
Purpose of the cables:
H07RN-F (OPD/OnPD) – flexible sheathed cable with rubber insulation and coating, intended for powering mobile and portable receivers, for applications in difficult and demanding conditions, e.g. for powering tools, portable switchboards, agricultural and industrial equipment and on yards construction sites where cables are exposed to high mechanical stress and temperature changes. Resistant to oils and greases, chemicals and UV radiation. For use in dry, damp and wet rooms and outdoors.
H07BQ-F – flexible cable with increased mechanical and chemical resistance. The insulation consists of a heat-resistant EPR rubber mixture with a polyurethane coating. The type of materials used for insulation and coating gives the cables special operational properties: higher operating temperatures, mechanical resistance, abrasion resistance and resistance to grease, oil, sewage and oxygen. For these reasons, the cables are suitable for powering mobile and portable receivers (e.g. agricultural, construction, industrial machines) operating in particularly difficult environmental conditions (exposure to abrasion, bending, dragging, variable temperatures).
We make adapters using a whole range of CEE 16A-125A industrial plugs and sockets, including 3P ones used at campsites or in marinas, and standard 230V rubber sockets (with a protective pin).
The standard degree of protection of plugs and sockets 16-32A is IP44. It is also possible to install the IP67 version, ensuring a higher degree of tightness and reliable connection of the socket and plug. The 63-125A sockets have an IP67 protection rating.
We also produce versions equipped with sockets used in other European countries (including Germany, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland).
Versions
We produce adapters with various functions:
- terminals-socket – wires connected to the terminals, equipped with sleeve or ring terminals on the power supply side and a 16-125A receiving socket without overcurrent protection (they require circuit protection and cannot be connected to a circuit with a higher current). Recommended for connection to appropriately protected fuse switches in our elPOWER switchboards, in order to power subsequent switchboards, e.g. elBOX.
- terminals-socket with protection – wires connected to the terminals, equipped with sleeve terminals or cable lugs on the power supply side and a receiving socket with overcurrent protection (can be connected to a circuit with a higher current), a residual current device or an energy meter.
- plug-socket – cables equipped with a power plug and a different type of receiving socket, with an equal or higher rated current (not requiring overcurrent protection). They enable powering the switchgear from an available socket with a lower rated current.
- plug-socket with protection – cables equipped with a power plug and a different type of receiving socket with a lower rated current (reduction), with overcurrent protection or residua current circuit breaker or energy meter. They enable, for example, powering the switchgear from an available socket with a higher rated current.
- terminals-terminals – wires connected to the terminals on both sides, equipped with sleeve terminals or cable lugs, used to connect switchboards with currents higher than 125A (up to 700A) without protection (require circuit protection). They are used, for example, to power elPOWER main switchboards.
- plug-terminals – cables equipped with a power plug and sleeve or eyelet terminals on the receiving side, the so-called power/connection cables, used to power devices or switchboards equipped with terminals. These are mainly service products.

Project database and search engine
Our offer includes many ready-made adapter designs. Browse our database and match the appropriate version to your needs. If you need something else, we will complete the project and quote it in the shortest possible time
Service inspections
We ensure the availability of spare parts and, on request, we provide assembly drawings with a list of parts. It should be emphasized that any repairs or inspections may only be performed by persons with appropriate qualifications and authorizations, and interference with the internal connections of extension cords is not allowed.
Product marking
Each adapter is equipped with a set of labels that clearly identify the product and describe its functions:
– nameplate (index, model, type, power ratings, IP, standards)
– serial number (related to the measurement protocol).
